Summer Picnic - Miniatures by thinkpastel Summer Picnic - Miniatures by thinkpastel
I love sandwiches! They're quick to prepare, tasty, reasonably healty and makes for a great outdoor lunch! :hungry:

Since I really love to have picnics, especially during summer, I couldn't resist to give my Barbie dolls a chance to have their own little plastic picnic :D

Everything is handmade with Fimo clay, liquid clay, chalks and acrylic paint (exept for the straw basket in the background). 1:6 scale as always :)

i used to do this ages ago, but i threw everything away, coz I cant stand the daily cleaning, so fragile and small haha om since then, I will just see others making, but wont make :p

The few I keep out are inside a display cabinet, so they don't collect too much dust. I *hate* dusting too!
And of course when and if I'll finally build my dollhouse it'll have glass doors :giggle:

Here I am - I haven't forgot about you! :giggle:
Unfortunately I can't find the tutorial I told you about - while browsing my bookmarks I've found a few 404 pages, I fear it might have been removed..
But, I remembered of this: [link]
It's not properly a tutorial, just a few step-by-step photos, but it might be helpful! :giggle:

Wow, that sandwich~

:) I like sandwiches, too. Quick and tasty, like you said. Although I don't imagine the Fimo version is either, lol.

I used copper wire! It's great - just the right color, thin enough and it doesn't break :)

This is very good! A couple questions, if you don't mind. 1, how did you get the texture in the bread? 2, did you paint the yellow onto the apple?

Thanks! Looks amazing!

The inside of the bread is textured with a needle - basically the same way you would texture the inside of a cake. You can find a video tutorial about this in my journal :giggle:
And yes, I painted yellow streaks on the apples with acrilyc paints! :)
Thank you
